In preparation for the creation of this new space, ICS executed the internal strip-out of existing services and ceilings, followed by the installation of new stormwater
catchments and a suitable grease trap. External areas were treated to new retaining walls and boundary fences.

The internal dining areas have been built over split levels, creating usage zones as well as showcasing the bespoke bar and dining joinery, the feature tiling, exposed roof structure and its eye-catching ply ceiling linings and the exquisitely refurbished jarrah floorboards. For function and compliance, all new electrical and hydraulic services, the construction of new male, female and UAT toilet facilities, and the addition of a small commercial kitchen with pizza oven, small bar and servery were completed to high standards of workmanship.

Extensive external works included a separate alfresco area with covered timber pergola and limestone steps and an accessible ramp leading down to the rear

courtyard. Salt-finished coloured concrete provides an attractive and low maintenance floor surface for the alfresco areas. A covered service yard with accessible path/ramp through to the alfresco area was added. With genuinely open communication, the project ran smoothly. Various design changes, a small site with overlapping trades working simultaneously and early client access for staff training and equipment set-up resulted in a project overrun of just one week.
